The AmazeBox is pretty imgemious in my opinion, it is absolutely and completely deceptive. I
really do love this very clever utility item!
So why only 3 stars? First, one of
AmazeBox's greatest assets is also (IMHO) one of its greatest weaknesses - it's made of cardboard.
Cardboard is not that durable over time and can easily become damaged in the hands of spectators.
This is not an inexpensive item to replace, so I do worry about its durability over time. I've used
mine about 25 times or so thus far and it still looks fine, but age and use will definitely take
their toll at some point. I just wish there was a less costly way to replace it than to pay full
price each and every time.
Second, I really dislike the Velcro system used to hold down the
flaps. Mine keep ripping off the inside of the cardboard, as the Velcro is so strong that the pads
themselves rip off the box before the Velcro detaches from itself. I might try replacing with a
magnet or something, but at least for me, the Velcro discs have not been very good. In fact, this
problem has a lot to do with contributing to the first problem I noted (I.e. The relative flimsiness
of the cardboard).
Finally, this isn't a complaint about the box per se, but the
instructions refer to a protective sleeve for the box once it is taken apart after a show. I never
received such a sleeve.
Again, I do love this item and I use it quite a lot. There are
probably solutions to the relatively minor concerns I have mentioned, but until those are resolved,
my super-enthusiastic rating of "5" must for now remain a "3."

I LOVE this product! This utility item has so many potential uses and I am very excited with what
it has to offer! The only negative in a long list of positives is the construction. I have had
issues with, and have heard others in the same situation, who have had misalignment issues with the
gimmick. This may require some arts and crafts time at home. I, for one, am not great at it, and
my small adjustment has not solved the problem successfully. Overall, very happy, but i wish that
the gimmick was done to exact specifications.

FYI - You will receive instructions to setup the ORIGINAL (smaller) amaze box. While the
instructions will work, there is a fundamental issue in which your new Amazebox will bend, where you
don't want it to.
DO not follow the directions if you're watching the setup video that has the
white box.
Other than that - it's a good piece. Although mine is now damaged due to use
without the additional elements that come with the black amazebox. Expensive box to be sitting on
the shelf when broken.

Good quality material. Very sturdy. There is some arts and crafts work to put it together for the
first time, but nothing too difficult. A must buy for the stage magician and mentalist.

Love it but hate it.
Love it because it's an amazing concept and ingenious method and fun to
use.
Hate it because I hate putting things together. I hated art in school and hate using
take, scissors and stuff. Very annoying to have to buy more stuff to assemble it.
Not sure
how to get around that. But I just stink at it.
So with my lame art skills aside, this is
an excellent product and as I said, amazing concept.
Great job. Just wish I had a friend
to pay to put it together for me.

The Amaze Box is an excellent piece of equipment and for the working mentalist I call it
indispensible. The basic box is good, but the black box is even better and only costs $5 more. It's
an improvement because it holds a lot more billets, playing cards, business cards or anything else
small enough to switch. It's quite valuable for a Q & A act. My handling will be to get some Q&As
before the show on an impression clipboard and then put them in the black box's hidden compartment.
When the new ones are collected by the spectator, it is he or she who places them in the box and by
doing so brings the hidden compartment into position.
The only slight problem with the
original box is that the side flaps don't flatten when pressed against the velcro, but that is
easily remedied. The black box works better.

The name says it all! Such a great trick and something so small plays so big! We close our show
Magixperience with it and it kills!
This is an invaluable stand-up utility! Thats it! The name says itself Amazing. You will be able to
create your own effects with it. Once assembled it is pretty darn durable. I have used mine in over
30 performances so far with the spectators handling the box the entire time. The limits of this
utility are only to your imagination.
P.s.
Take the time with the construction. If you
aren't savvy with crafts don't give up, have someone who is help you. Have a wonderful day!
I am always skeptical when you have to assemble the gimmick yourself but in this case the
instructions were clear and the pattern for the trick was superb. The box gimmick works as
advertised and if you do mentalism this will replace your change bags and envelopes for stage and
parlor magic. I really like this device and it works perfectly.
When I received the Amazebox I was thinking,"This seems mighty cheap and weak." The fact of the
matter is that these qualities actually make the box more believable. Constructing the box was not
difficult, but you should be extremely attentive to detail. I am amazed (pun intended)at what the box
will hide and hold. There is a point when opening the box that I found a split second that didn't
seem quite right. It was just a quick flash of the inner panel. I've let all of my close family
watch me open and close the box and they never noticed a thing. So, I am not at all concerned. There
is one very interesting part during the demonstration and assembly video that completely freaked me
out. You'll see what I mean. Overall, I love this thing and I believe it will an amazing device. Let
your imagination run wild with this one. It's sweet !!!
