When I first saw David Copperfield perform this Ace assembly on one of his specials, I thought he
had sold his soul to the devil. Now to find out that I could do the same trick blew me away. Bob
Kohler has painstakingly developed a method (without any sleights) to accomplish a four ace assembly
that will blow peoples minds. Its simple and you'll be performing it within minutes of recieving it.
Its one of the best self working ace assemblies on the market.

I have to give a lot of credit to the thinking behind this one, because the gaffs are a very good
solution for performing an Ace Assembly without having to do any false lifts or false counts.
My biggest problem with this sort of routine is that the cards can't be examined. When you do
these sorts of "magical" hands-off card transformations, it's only natural for the spectator to want
to examine the cards, as their minds search for a solution. Unfortunately, the trick ends so dirty,
you'll feel very exposed.
I also think you need to be very careful about time misdirection.
Because the gaff requires different spreading techniques, the spectators will likely notice that it
looks different, if you do spreads too soon after one another. They won't necessarily know what it
means, but subconsciously at least, it'll seem "wrong".
Despite these complaints, I still
think this is a worthwhile effect, particularly for a beginner. A more advanced card handler would
probably want to just stick with the standard version that requires basic sleights.

These are my favourite gimmicks to use for my Ace Assembly trick. I have brought so, so, so many
versions and this is easily the best. I have slightly changed the routine from the one of the DVD
but that's the great thing about these gimmicks- they're versatile and allow you to play around with
the concept.

First of, I want to thank Mr. Kohler for such a great trick. The gimmicks do almost all the work, as
they are really clever. In my opinion, the gimmicks are far superior to the ones used in the
Macdonal's routine. I strongly recommend this one. Powerful magic with minimal effort. Price more
than fair, considering not only the gaffs, but also the great teaching DVD by Mr. Kohler.
I know how to do almost every trick on penguin magic but this trick just blows me away.
The backs of the gaffs are obviously darker than normal Bicycle cards..they do not match as stated
by Bob Kohler.
I'm a little bit more than a beginner and have to practice my sleight of hands. With "Aces in their
faces", I just needed to learnn the routine and immediately felt confident. After one day (and about
1à "dry" trials), I took the risk to present it to some people. It worked fine and they were
impressed, even with the easies handling.
The routine is very well explained and demonstrated.

I love this trick. It almost does everything for you. It wows people when the Aces just seem to
flip over right before their eyes. The DVD does a great job of giving instruction on the history,
variations, instruction, etc.
The only problem, and it is why this doesn't get a higher
rating, is that the gaff cards are NOT a correct color match to regular red backed Bicycle cards
despite claims that the gaffs are made by US Playing Card Co (who makes Bicycle cards). This is odd
since Bob Kohler mentions right on the DVD that they are an exact match, but aren't. They are
close, but slightly darker. Just be aware that lighting will play into this trick in order to be
successful, where-as if they DID match, you could do this in any lighting. You should still be able
to be successful with this great trick.
