I didn't order this from here. I got it at another magic dealer as a pre order. But what I can
tell is STAY AS FAR AWAY FROM THIS AS HUMANLY POSSIBLE!!! The method is not new in anyway
whatsoever. Same method as with the original linking rings, ninja rings, messado rings. ALL the
same. Thay are just linked a little differently. This is pure eye candy but only from directly
exactly straight on only! Nobody even a little bit to the left or the right and your caught out.
The gaff are garbage and you can see the seams on the gaffed and non gaffed rings. The rings sound
tinny when the clang together. There can be absolutely no spectator participation whatsoever other
than watching. Save your money on this one folks. The demo is pure hype and even though the video
is an unedited continuous shot it is still deceptive because the camera is held at exactly the right
height and angle as to not expose the dirty part. Any movement in any direction and your caught.
The dvd is pure garbage as well. Shin Lim teaches you with a constant looping music in the
background that gets really annoying really fast. Not to mention that the entire instructional dvd
is less that 20 friggin minutes! Shin keeps clanging the rings on a glass table every five seconds
while he is talking making it very hard to understand him at times. That coupled with the bad
background music makes watching this unbearable. This thing stinks from top to bottom. Stay away
from this. Save your money and put it towards Messados rings and dvd as well as Shoot Ogawas rings
or even Mattew Garret's Ninja Plus. All are much better than this by leaps and bound. They cost
more money because you get what you pay for. This is cheap and for good reason it is total and
utter garbage. I have been duped. Don't you get duped as well. You have been warned!

no real routine inside. the rings are pices of sh**, tinney sounding. can be seen up close. only
good from straight on. shin lim consistantly dissapoints with all his products. the demo is such a
con. you can do it for your website demo and that's about it. pure and simple garbage. shoot
ogawa routine is the best.

It's too late for me, but save yourselves! I also bought as a pre-order from another dealer.
Biggest waste of my magic budget ever. There is NOTHING revolutionary about these gimmicks. They
are cheaply made rings. You can see the seams in the solid rings from 10 feet away. Unless you can
get your audience to line up single file in front of you or you only ever show one person at a time,
don't count on doing the "slow link" that sells the effect on the video. At least two dealers have
stated on the Magic Cafe that they will NOT carry this product. I urge Penguin to stop carrying it
also, and will be seeking a refund from the place I bought them as the ad is very deceptive. Anyone
associated with this product should be very ashamed and embarrassed. Will NOT buy anything
associated with these two individuals' names again without hands on pre-view, IF then.

Great work for parlor and table hopping.
Where can I get a second set of rings ?
I have loved penguin magic from the start, I have purchased dozens of Tricks, DVD's downloads and
lectures. Melt (DVD and Gimmicks) by Gentei shiryo is the worst thing I have ever bought in the 30+
years I have been buying magic tricks.
I am the first to admit it looks great on the one angle
provided when watching the demo, however for people who perform magic in the real world for real
people unless your audience consists of one person this trick is totally un-practical (It does not
work)
Sorry for the terrible review but sometimes the truth hurts.
Nice, looks like real magic at the proper angles. Good new spin on an old idea.

I've never liked the linking rings simply because it seems like everyone does the same thing. "Melt"
allows you some freedom in your routine. There are some angle difficulties here, as anyone beyond 10
and 2 will not be amazed at what you're doing if you try the "slow melt" version. However, you can
perform this surrounded if you go with the quick link and unlink like most routines use.
Speaking of routines, this is an effect for the creative magician because there is no real
routine taught here to speak of. It's just basic handling and off you go on your own to tweak it as
you will. That being said, there are a ton of possibilities here and I'm definitely pleased with it
for the price. Two of the rings are examinable, and two aren't, but all can be shown completely on
all sides once the connection is made and before.
This isn't necessarily the best of all
choices for linking rings, but I love the fresh approach and am looking forward to tailoring this to
a routine.
