Shot in Crystal Clear Full HD utilizing "Super Practice Mode" with fully annotated still frames, highlights and multiple angles for the very best in modern magic mentoring. Until now, Stephen has only shared fragments of The Butterfly with a select few of his closest friends. With this DVD he's giving you everything on his treasured creation. You'll see the history from start to finish, how it's evolved over the years and how the many variations have developed. When you hear the name Stephen Leathwaite, it's not long before you hear mention of his Butterfly Pass. Edward Lorenz's Chaos Theory states that the flap of a Butterfly's wings could cause a Tornado on the other side of the planet, staying true to this Stephen's Butterfly Pass has caused a Storm in the Magic community and will elevate your card magic to new heights. Stephen poured his heart and soul into this project and his passion is evident in every frame. This project is more than a series of moves and effects, its chapters in Stephen's life.

I have been performing something extremely similar for 3 years. Now, before yu want to kill me, let me explain. Stephen does it wonderfully, but in my opinion, there is not enough difference between this and a Hermann pass, actually, I felt as if Stephen was giving his advice on the Hermann pass! His grip is slightly different which allows you to not flash, but except for that, I don't see much else that is different in the actual basic pass itself. I feel the real value lies in the other passes, there is some very innovative thinking there. The routines are ok, you get some performances for some, none got me particularly excited, but that is just me. The filming is beautiful (editing as well) but the sound is pretty bad.

If this was advertised as a dvd on the Hermann pass and several (new and innovative variations), this would have gotten a better review.

I REALLY don't like this and am genuinely going to sell it again. It's good, but for me personally, it's not original enough to be great.

I'm throwing this out or selling it, I dislike it THAT much.

my opinion and I have learned this whenever I first started doing magic it's called the brick pass hate to give it away but you're doing it with one card instead of the whole deck in this. Very good DVD you learn a lot of different passes and different methods excellent because of that but hands-down it comes to one simple move

You can really tell Stephen put a lot into making this. If you're thinking about not buying this because of what you can assume from the trailer, it's much more than that. The little subtleties that are taught, make it so much better. Similar to the classic pass, the motion is easy to get, but bringing it up to performance level will take a long time. Some motions may feel really knacky at first but you'll get used to it. The way it's strung together, make the move flow so smoothly. The angles shot are very well done too. From the front, close up, top, side, and over the shoulder. My only complaint is that the sound quality isn't the greatest and that there doesn't seem to be a table of contents on my disc.

I got wind of this pass about 18 months ago.
Beg, steel or borrow the hard cash to get this gem of a DVD.
You want invisible. I jest you not, this is top dollar.
Enough said.

Kind regards.

Terry Rea
