I was curious about this book, and thought it was a cheap addition after having read Corinda, Annemann, among others. I was pleasantly surprised by the book however, for some of its clever plots and methods that are easy and stress-free to perform. Of all the Self Working books Fulves has published however, I consider this my least favorite, but it is still very good and for 5 bucks it is impossible for you NOT to get your money's worth and more.

That is about all I can say after picking up this book again. For a bit of background, I picked up this (along with all the other "self-working" books at a bookstore back when I was just starting magic. I can go ahead and say that the bookstores were charging more than penguin does already. Anyway, this book contains 67 (YES, 67) routines that are all FANTASTIC mentalism routines.

Don't discount this book (or any of the others) JUST because they are centered towards beginners; I have found material in here that would work JUST as well in a proffesional's stage show as would a 300 dollar mentalism gimmick.

The real value of this book however is in the book test and slate section. Most of the stuff I have found in those sections I WILL be playing around with.

Highly recommended for the beginner and expert alike!

Really GRReat effects as previously mentioned. For both Newbies and those who already perform. I do a lot (14) of the effects in this book and they do fool Magi and other mentalists as well. Simple..yes but really audience grabbers for sure. This will be enough to give a nice 1 hour presentation of a mentalism show. Nice effects too for birthday parties using "slates".
