Bob Sheets' dice routine includes the same effects as the famous Dr. Saks routine, but has a
different ending. Sheets' routine is easier to memorize, including repositioning the dice between
phases.
The two moves are easy, although it takes time to learn to do them smoothly. The
fingers have to be pretty much in the same position before and after the move, which is important
for the illusion that you've merely turned your hand over.
I also prefer Sheets' way of
showing the dice directly in front of your body, rather than the common way of doing Dr. Saks'
routine, in which you hold the dice off to the side.
I took off a star because it takes
some effort to follow Sheets' instructions. He could have done it slower and made it clear which
move he was doing at each stage. It helps to write a summary of the routine.

This is the classic Dr Sack's Dice Routine as modified and presented by Bob Sheets. He teaches a
sle(i)ghtly different handling that may be easier (I found it a lot easier to use with larger dice,
which is great for visibility with large groups). It has a nice "kicker" ending. Bob is one of a
kind, but you can easily adapt this to your own presentation style (which I highly recommend). I was
dubious about how this would actually play, but I've received great reactions from it and the
routine makes a great interlude between your gambling card tricks. Regular dice (not included in my
DVD), impromptu, no set-up. Pretty easy to get it down and learn the routine. Bob is affable and a
good teacher but I took one star off because of the DVD quality. The sound is variable and the
background music during Bob's explanation is too loud and almost drowns him out. The explanation is
good, but the moves with the dice can seem complicated and confusing as he sometimes rushes over
them. You will have to watch it several times, pause, rewind, etc. and maybe even take notes with
dice in hand. Once you get it and practice a dozen or so times it becomes second nature. Recommended
with the above caveats.

This is a great trick, and I added it right away to my repertoire. The production is a little
flawed; the music is way too loud (and honestly unnecessary). But it didn't stop me from learning
the routine.

This is one of the most poorly made DVDs I have purchased. The "background" music is extremely LOUD
and the instructions, which are cursory at best, are inaudible.
One would think that at the
price charged, the product would be of much higher quality.

Bob sheets has taken the sack's dice routine and made it better. The original was a bit of a problem
due to awkward twisting. This method is streamlined. The finale is the best part and is a flurry o
jumping dots. Sheets teaches this part first because if you can do it, you can do the rest of the
routine. This routine will take some work to memorize the steps, but it is well within the grasp of
the average magician.
