If you are a kids performer, and don't have this yet, then I suggest you add this to your cart RIGHT
NOW. This routine alone will get you more shows. It never fails to get the kids laughing and never
fails to get the kids to have a great time. You don't need any expensive coin buckets, you don't
need any special gimmicks period. Capehart goes over everything step by step, and even has a few
more coin routines on here that go great with the Misers dream, but of course, the Misers dream is
the gem of the dvd.
Speaking of the dvd, the price is a flat out bargain for the kind of
material you're getting here. If you add the price of the dvd, plus the price of the materials
needed (which you can go out and get everything you need that day VERY cheaply) this entire routine,
props, practice, and all, will pay for itself thousands of times over. This one routine will make
you money and get you repeat clients. I've done this countless times, and it never fails me, ever.
I don't think it's worthy of being your closer in your kids show, but this IS a routine
that you simply have to have in your show. You just have to have it, it's just something you have
to do. One more thing about this routine is it's very simple to learn. You will pick this up
quick, and when you do, master everything and master it well, no matter how simple the routine may
seem. Because once you master it and you look like Chris Capehart out there, you are going to be
getting so many more shows and so many more happy clients. This routine will become a permanent
piece of your show forever.

I was inspired to learn something about Miser's Dream from watching a local magician here in Tulsa.
I saw the video reviews here and I ordered it. This is a great video!!! Chris teaches a very simple
but very funny routine with an ungimmicked pail and a few half dollars. He tells you where you can
get a good pail for the routine without paying for over priced coin pails from magic shops. I have
performed it several times now and the reaction is over the top! This is now one of my favorite
routines. Plus there is a bonus coin routine he teaches that is real good, but the price of the DVD
is worth just what he teaches on the Miser's Dream. Please don't go buy an expensive coin pail and
then buy this video. He will tell you where you can get one for about 10 or 12 bucks. A wonderful
buy!

I had never done miser's dream, thinking that it wasn't very compelling (except for jeff McBride's
routine). Julian Mather recommended Capehart's routine and I got it. It now is a highlight of my
show, and both kids and adults seem to love it.
There are some issues in terms of Chris not
explaining exactly what he is doing, but it more about learning his interaction and bits than
technical issues.

His routine and performance are awesome, but when it comes to teaching - the video lacks the detail
and close-up shots I see in other magic videos.

A classic effect by one of the best performers of it in the bussiness. This DVD will give you the
real work on the Miser's dream and will show you how to keep it simple and effective. I found the
material most useful and stopped using some of the less effective moves I thought I had to use to
perform the trick. This is the real deal and if you are thinking about adding the Miser's dream to
your routines then you need this DVD.

You might have seen many miser's dream, but I think you will still enjoy this.
To do the trick
you'll need ten coins and a cheap bucket, and nothing more.
It's not difficult, and it's
probably not an earthshaking method. but still, the bits of business that chris shares with you are
worth double the price of this dvd.
btw, I only performed this trick once in a gig (not
much of a kid performer) but it totally rocked, and was liked by both kids and adults.

This hilarious routine always, always gets a strong reaction from children 8-years-old and younger.
I did a show for second graders and afterward their teacher had them send me drawings of their
favorite trick. Practically all of them drew the Miser's Dream. It's also great for families,
because adults love to see the reaction of the little girl or boy when you start pulling coins from
their ear. Capehart's explanation isn't very detailed, but it doesn't have to be. If you just
watch this DVD you'll learn the trick easily, and a lot more besides about showmanship, because
Capehart is a master performer. I also recommend his 3-ring routine. Here are three tips for the
Miser's Dream: 1. Capehart uses the classic p**m. But you can do it with a simple finger p**m,
which works just as well and is a lot easier. 2. A metal cocktail shaker (without the top) makes a
good pail. Mine is maybe 10 inches high. It gives a satisfying "clank" when the coins go in, and
the top is narrow enough to keep my left fingers hidden when they're inside. 3. I put finger
moistener on the fingertips of both hands shortly before beginning my show. The left and right hand
both need to grip the coins, and the moistener helps keep the coins from slipping.
I went to look for an instructional on the Misers Dream. This is a great DVD and includes the bonus
of Coins Across. You get to see a live performance, followed by the explanation, and then on to
Coins across. The production quality is great, and many magicians as Chris says, don't do this
effect anymore. One that will take some practice for both of the effects, but are more rewarding as
well. Chris uses no gimmicks you'll learn how to do the sleight and use real coins.
My grandson said it was amazing.

Having seen Chris live at the Miswest Magic Jubilee I was not surprise me that he would give a great
version of the Miser's Dream. It was recommended by Julian Mathers of Australia in his educational
online course. Of course he hit it Spot-On.
