Classic. I have performed this for friends, family, and professionally during walk-around gigs. It
always gets a great reaction. In my opinion, this is and always will be better than any of the
"pen-thru-bill" effects because both the pencil AND the bill may be borrowed. Misled stands out and
is better than all of the imitations. Do not be fooled by the simplicity of the effect or the
method. Take the time needed to read the manuscript. Read and take to heart what Copperfield did
"wrong" when he performed this on t.v. Practice and make every move appear natural. There is a
reason that Copperfield performed this on national television - with the proper amount of time and
practice, it is just a great effect.
I just purchased the Misled effect and I look forward to mastering it and amazing my audience. I've had the Pen Thru Bill effect for at least a couple of years and I expect Misled to be as impactful. I disagree with the comparison between the two because BOTH the pen and the bill CAN be examined after the effect. You just need to be ready to palm the gimmick as you would with Misled. I do it all the time (Though it's rare someone says "Let me see that pen"). These are two great illusions. Each one has it's advantages and disadvantages with regards to angles, ease of presentation, reset, etc.
